Quality Inspection Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. Perform hourly quality checks on all production running
2. Inspect and approve all new start-ups
3. Fill out and maintain all necessary quality checklists and forms
4. May aid in training new operators (on quality issues)
5. Performs quality checks on all production at weight count station
6. Must communicate quality deviations to Department Supervisors and Technicians
7. Will perform other duties/tasks as required by Q.C. Supervisor to assist in production of parts
SKILLS:

1. Requires 9-12 months to acquire training necessary to perform all jobs
2. Most of training is performed on the job
3. Requires manual dexterity in using measuring devices
4. Must have adequate communication skills to understand, read and comprehend Quality Control instructions sheets and shift check off-sheets
5. Must be able to perform basic math
6. Must have time management skills
7. Must have decision making capabilities
EFFORT:

1. Requires visual, mental attention and concentration
2. Involves lifting (usually no more than 20 lbs.), bending, carrying, pulling, reaching
3. Requires the ability to use both hands
RESPONSIBILITY:

1. Works extremely well with other employees
2. Follows instructions
3. Must adhere to Quality Standards
4. Uses personal protective equipment as required
